Welcome to my comprehensive Drum Tuning course!
Our sound is a big part of what we want to say, both to the audience and other musicians on stage. This course takes you through my entire process of seating the heads properly, getting them onto the shells, finding the right tension, going for the sounds you want, and creating a sonic relationship between each drum. I’ll address a vast array of situations, considerations for miking vs. not, ported and non-ported bass drums, and common problems that come up in both my live and studio experiences. The objective here is to get the kit tuned to represent how you envision yourself sounding in every musical situation.
Whether you're a beginning player or a seasoned pro, all drummers can benefit from the concepts taught in this course.
Questions? Comments? You can leave both under each individual lesson and you can also post in the private Facebook group. Let us all know if you have a tuning question or concern related to your own kit - either at home, on gigs, or in the studio. Dave and his staff are monitoring the school from both angles and you may find others members' comments helpful!
